Weekly Questions

By Josh. T

Welcome to my second site, Weekly Questions! This site is made to answer many questions on my mind about how things work, human trends and culture, and other things and events on my mind. On this site, I am going to post one question and response per week to show my view on a certain topic (this is not continued off of my first site, "Advice For Future Astronomers", as there will be more topics discussed here other than astronomy). I hope to inform whoever finds my site with an insight of my views on a topic!

June 23rd, 2019 - Colors

I think that color means a lot of different things within our lives. I am very observant to color, as you could probably tell by the wide range of colors I use to make these websites, but I think color has more purposes other than being very pretty to perceive with our eyes. For one, color can often be used to symbolize one's personality and or mood. For example, this is often used when we see red as a fiery color that can represent when someone is angry. Another example of this is how blue by itself is generally a calm color, but when it is overused, it tends to represent sadness or depression. Color is also commonly used to identlfy certain objects. What I mean is that color is a great way to find the differences between two objects. For example, a lemon and a lime have roughly the same shape, and one of the key differences between them is their color, the lemon being yellow, and the lime being green. Without color, it would be harder to identify objects, and there wouldn't be nearly as much character within us and the world around us than there is now. All in all, I personally am a big fan of color, even with all of the messages it brings, either good or bad. In the end, I think about a world without color, and how that would be far worse than our current world, so I think that all of the good things that color brings significantly outnumbers any bad things about colors.
